Another spawn of the Transformers craze.. this time I attempted to redesign that 1980s anime robot Voltes V:
Here is a reference, I even found one already 3d modelled, true to its original design, possibly done in sketchup:
..And here is my initial model. Only 20% into the process, haven't even started the rear details, feet, etc. Decided to give the design several twists.. like adding a greeble effect on the hull, a samurai treatment for his helmet.. Done in 3dsmax, rendered using Vray toon. ATG I'll rig this sucker.. :D
