Movie Review: 300

300 is a film about the decisive Battle of Thermopylae where 300 Spartans led by King Leonidas blocked the advance of hundreds of thousands of Xerxes' Persian army to Europe. According to historians if the Persians conquered Greece there would be no democracy, free thinking and everything Western, today. So what? Probably no pornography and violent films? Hmm there would probably no 300 to watch even.

Sat in the front row because the seats filled in fast.. I will have to catch this film again with a better view or probably on DVD.. \m/ Stunning visuals, straightforward plot, great cinematography and effects.. If style makes a great film - then 300 is grand. Never saw the comic book, but the animated version is awesome, with a lot of memorable scenes. This is a pixel festival for the matte painters and digital artists.. and will definitely inspire a lot of folks to be one. And yeah there is a lot of BLOOD in this film. Enough for Quentin Tarantino to wish he subdirected this movie as well.

Cool movie. \m/
